Covid-19 Update  - February 2021

From Monday 15 February a new border control programme has come into effect for England:

  • The government has published a list of countries from which entry to the UK is banned. You can find the list here.

  • All international arrivals have to take a PCR test in their country. This test must be done up to 72 hours prior to arrival in the UK and negative test result must be presented at passport control.

  • In addition to their pre-departure test, all international arrivals are required by law to take further PCR tests on day two and day eight of their quarantine period. These tests MUST BE BOOKED through an online service before travelling at a cost of £210. International arrivals will be asked to show a booking confirmation upon arrival in the UK.

  • All international arrivals must quarantine for 10 days. If either of these post-arrival tests is positive, they must quarantine for a further 10 days from the date of the positive test result.

  • International arrivals can book another PCR test for day 5. If the result is negative, they are allowed to finish their quarantine period earlier. However, this would be in addition to the mandatory two tests.
