We believe there is no better way to enhance your language learning experience than staying with one of our host families. Immerse yourself in British culture and get to learn a bit more about the language you are studying and the country you are living in.

All United Homestays have been thoroughlty inspected by the school to ensure they provide a safe, clean and comfortable environment to relax and study.

Families usually live in residential areas around Bournemouth but not in the town centre itself. Most of them are within 20 minutes walk from the town centre or on a main bus route with easy access to the town centre and all that Bournemouth has to offer. During the high season, you might be placed with a host family who lives a bit farther out.

Inclusive in the price of homestay accommodation is breakfast and dinner everyday, and also a packed lunch at the weekends. Bed linen, Wi-Fi and at least one laundry wash per week is also part of the accommodation package.

(Extra laundry washes may be charged by the homestay)

How much?

It all depends on what type of room you are looking for, what season of the year you are coming and how long you are going to be here with us. Have a look at our Homestay Accommodation fees for 2019.

This is the best option if you are travelling alone. You will be placed in one of hour host families where you will have your own bedroom and all the privacy you need to relax and study.

Students can enter into private arrangements with the landlords, however, these properties have not been inspected. It is the school’s recommendation that a minimum of 2 weeks’ homestay accommodation is arranged before entering private accommodation.
